The first few seed catalogs just came the other day!!! WOOT

Nothing like seed catalogs to brighten up a loooong winter! study

So this year I'm thinking about ordering lemon cucumber seeds...tried some this past summer and they tasted great! I want to try growing some type of carrot in containers too. I'm probably going to order more ground cherry seeds, and possibly some more breadseed poppies...those are 2 things I've grown before, but I haven't been extremely successful yet...

What's looking good to you guys? What do you want to try this year?

Caleb

I got a bunch of heritage seeds already from Seed Savers Exchange.
I'm freaked out about how so many food crops being genetically altered plus evil empires like Monsanto that are monopolizing seed corn etc. so I'm getting seeds to save each year.

How does Seed Savers Exchange work Vicky? Do you like it?

Also, when you are gardening, do you let your birds eat weeds/old plants that you've pulled up? I've thought about saving some of the pulled weeds for the chickens to peck at / nibble on....

I have been watching the stores for seed displays. They aren't up yet but should be out any time now.
